ORCA and Employment Ontario Peel

To enhance employability and upskill prospective employees, Employment Ontario Peel and the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) have collaborated to support job seekers with gaining sector essential and technical skills training through ORCA’s The Learning Centre for Senior Living (TLC), helping jobseekers become job ready for a career in the retirement homes sector.
 
Learning records will be provided for each participant to provide evidence to future employers of their successful completion of required training. Together, the collaboration will build a new workforce pool to support the retirement homes sector and create opportunities for eligible participants to be employed in Ontario.

Employment Ontario Peel and ORCA have come together to provide candidates with access to mandatory training modules on The Learning Centre for Senior Living. If you are located in the Peel Region and have a recruitment need, consider sending job postings to: eopeelemployer@wcgservices.com. Your job posting will be posted on the Employment Ontario Job Bank and candidates that are interested will be provided all mandatory training needed to start working in a retirement home, saving your organization time and money while obtaining qualified staff.
 

HueMax Recruitment and Employment Ontario Peel

HueMax Recruitment has partnered with Employment Ontario Peel to create meaningful employment opportunities. Huemax is a Social Impact Recruitment Service making hiring a racialized employee a smart and easy decision for local companies.

This partnership is an effort by Employment Ontario, together with HueMax Recruitment to help racialized job seekers find sustainable employment opportunities. HueMax Recruitment offers a job board that allows Employment Ontario Peel job seekers access to employer postings, job openings, method of TWINING and networking events.

Job Board User guides will be available to staff, to assist in employment opportunities for job seekers. Together this collaboration will offer a new platform for staff to access job opportunities.

Hospitality Training Action Centre 75 (HTA 75)


 

The Hospitality Training Action Centre 75 (HTA 75) is a non-profit organization with one mission: to support hospitality workers at all stages of their careers, whether it is finding entry-level jobs with great wages or raising their skills to be future ready.

HTA 75’s accessible and responsive programming aims to strengthen opportunities for learners FREE of cost. Together with our industry partners, we envision a resilient, inclusive, and a vibrant Hospitality industry in Canada by empowering workers with skills of the future.

Discover Ability Network (DAN) and Employment Ontario Peel


 

This partnership is an effort by Employment Ontario, together with The Discover Ability Network (DAN) to help job seekers with disabilities to find inclusive and sustainable employment opportunities. The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is a nonprofit organization that operates the Discover Ability Network (DAN), which includes an online job matching platform (administered in partnership with Magnet), which facilitates connections between inclusive employers and qualified candidates with disabilities. With EO Peel supporting job seekers with disabilities, this partnership was designed to help create more accessible opportunities for individuals who are seeking employment or looking into changing career paths.

DAN will offer free tools and resources to help both jobseekers with a disability and employers address workforce needs through inclusive workplaces. This includes access to the Discover ability job-matching platform, trainings and workshops, networking events, consultation services for businesses and access to a comprehensive personality assessment to identify strengths and areas for improvement!
